NanoAmes — Mutagenicity Testing with Micro-Quantities

What's inside

  • Miniaturised 25-well Ames format
  • Mutagenicity assessment with µg/ng quantities
  • Standard Salmonella tester strains (TA98/100/1535/1537/102)
  • Application to impurities and scarce compounds

The Ames test is the gold standard in the genetic toxicology battery, but the classical Petri-dish format requires substantial test material. NanoAmes miniaturises the assay to a 25-well plate format, evaluating the mutagenic potential of chemicals and impurities using only micro-quantities (µg/ng).

Using the standard Salmonella typhimurium tester strains (TA98, TA100, TA1535, TA1537, TA102) with and without S9 metabolic activation, NanoAmes makes mutagenicity screening feasible for scarce compounds and impurities where material is the limiting factor.

Who this is for

  • Pharma impurity and genotoxicity teams
  • Cosmetic and chemical R&D
  • Biotech with limited test material
